AFT Contest Seeks Best Ideas for Inclusive Schools
To mark the eighth annual Inclusive Schools Week, scheduled this year for Dec. 1-5, the AFT is holding its first-ever inclusion-model contest to highlight the best inclusive settings where our AFT K-12 members work.
November is National American Indian Heritage Month
The AFT has developed a Web site that pulls together a variety of resources to facilitate learning about Native American history, culture, and achievements. Younger students will enjoy learning about the numerous American Indian tribes. Secondary students can find out about key historical events and the significant political and social contributions to our country.
